So are you going to teach Lions and Tigers in zoos to eat tofu?

No how about we stop putting lions and tigers in the zoo in small cages and keep them in the wild where they belong.

So are you going to teach Lions and Tigers in zoos to eat tofu?
Is Tofu in large quantities unhealthy for the cats..well its rather healthy and will also keep down on the transmittable disease and sickness from the raw meet
Reply:no i going to have them eat you
Reply:oh no no, we should keep feeding them unfrozen rabbits and rotten steak... you know, like they do in the wild.
Reply:No, I'm not.

Can Lions' and Tigers' digestive systems handle vegetable proteins?

I don't know.

If Lions' and Tigers' digestive systems can handle vegetable proteins, and Lions and Tigers stay healthy on such a diet, will they like the flavor?

Probably not.

So how do you make them eat it?

They're prisoners. Don't give them anything else to eat.
Reply:Lions and tigers are carnivores and could not survive without meat. They eat it to survive, people eat it because of desire. In the wild, they hunt and kill for survival, the animals you eat never even had a fighting chance or freedom. If you had to hunt for your food like lions instead of finding your steak all neatly wrapped up for you at the supermarket, I think you would think twice.
Reply:This question does not make sense.

Lions are strictly carnivores and MUST eat animal proteins to remain healthy.

Humans are omnivores. We do NOT need any animal protiens at all. We do have the ability to digest them which helps us in times of poor plant production, but it doesn't mean we're morally or by nature required to eat meat.
Reply:Tigers and Lions need more protein than we do so tofu will probably slowly sicken them and they could die. :-(
Reply:nahhh, they cant survive with soy products, they will probably die without meat~
