Can Tigers and Lions mate with successful offspring?
Yes. The offspring are indeed called ligers.

Reply:theoretically yes they can..but due to species differences they dint mate

Reply:yes , there is sucessful offspring female tigon with male lion or tiger. Ti-tigon or li-tigon is the second generation but till now there is no sucessful hybrid between two tigon

Reply:Yes, actually. And that's what they call them, based on which parents' genes are dominant. A Liger is a male lion bred with a female tiger, and a Tion is the other way around (Male lion, female tiger).

tigers and lions cannot produce normal offspring. only members of the same species can reproduce together.





nah i reckon a monkey %26amp; rat would be better together cos it would be a 'mat' or 'matt' (sounds a bit like my brother's name....)
