Do lions and tigers also have hair on their tongues to bathe?

Or is it just domestic cats?

Do lions and tigers also have hair on their tongues to bathe?
Cats don't have hair on their tongues, they have little backward-facing projections of the skin called papillae. These are used both for grooming and for rasping flesh from the bones of their prey, and are present in all cat species. The tongue of a lion or tiger is very rough - if they lick you more than a few times, you can feel your skin beginning to get sore!
Reply:I believe all cats have this feature, but I would not try to open their mouths to make sure!
Reply:Yup
Reply:Papillae is present in all cats. They use it to remove meat from bones.
