Reply:a pride of lions would kill a tiger but in a one on one match the larger, more muscular tiger would win-the king is only the king because he has the support of his subjects.
Reply:Dude, Tigers are the biggest cats in the world. They weigh as much as 700 lbs. A lion is about 500 lbs. And unlike Lions, tigers hunt alone while Lions usually hunt in groups. So one on one a Tiger would have to be the favorite in the match up.
Reply:The Discovery Channel or The Learning Channel had a program on this once. There was a simulated battle between them. Whereas I usually hear of the tiger being called the superior large cat, despite the lion's given title, the program gave the win to the lion.





The male lion's role it to protect the pride and female lions from male lions. It's not true to say that it does nothing.

Lions are closer to 500 to 600 lbs.

Reply:i would go with the tiger. male lions, the "kings" of the jungle, really do nothing but keep predators away. the female lions are the ones that hunt, not the males. the male lion sleeps 20 hours a day. it really does nothing. so, because of this, i think the tigger would win because it has much more practice in killing (as it hunts for itself), and if i recall correctly, tigers are slightly larger than lions
Reply:Tiger, lions are lazy in general, they just sleep, eat and ****. Tigers hunt more.


But if was the female ones involved, maybe the lion have a chance.





PS: I dont know if "lion" can be female to, in portuguese "leão" = male lion and "leoa" = female lion.
