I know India have tigers in thier forest , how about lions ? As far as I know only african savanas have lions.

Do India have Lions in thier forest ?
Yes India does have lions in the GIR forests of gujarat state and it is the only place in the world where lions live in wild apart from africa, these lions are called Asiatic or Indian lions.
Reply:yes india have lions in gir forests
Reply:India does have lions!..I have been quite close to them in Bengal state park!..they are slightly smaller than African lions, and quite blond in colour!..Also unlike African lions, they are jungle dwellers and live in prides of no more than 4-6 unlike African prides which can have as many lions as 20 or more, depending on availability of food!..But Indian lions are an endangered species, like the Indian leopard, and the Snow Leopard!..
Reply:India has 350-400 lions in Gir Forest in western India. They are a different subspecie than African Lions, and are termed Asiatic Lions. They are slightly smaller since their prey base is also smaller and live in smaller prides. Plans are underway to develop new sanctuaries for the endangered lions in India.
Reply:yes...there is some lion in india.....
