I want to see tigers in the united states. Help?

I want to be able to see tigers and lions, any kind of large wild cats. Where can I go within the borders of the United States to see them?

The Cincinnati Zoo would probably be a really good source. They have a several large cats and a really cool "Cat House" showcasing many species from around the world.

I don't think they have lions anymore though. They did that to make more room for more tigers, specially the endangered Bengal tigers. They have a large habitat for the rare white tigers and are known all over their world for their efforts in saving the endangered species. I think just about every zoo in the country and in other countries probably have a tiger that was born at the Cincinnati Zoo.
Reply:good information if it were true. "I think just about every zoo in the country and in other countries probably have a tiger that was born at the Cincinnati Zoo." That is not a true statement. Report It

Reply:There are lots of zoos in the US just as good as the one in Cincinnati. Unless you live close, don't make the effort for that zoo, just go to the closest to you. Report It

Reply:Memphis zoo
Reply:It depends on where you live! If you live near San Diego take a trip to the San Diego Zoo. ( http://sandiegozoo.org ) If you live near Atlanta go to the Atlanta Zoo. If you really want to conserve and protect them visit the WWF at http://www.wwf.org they are in international Environmental Organization.
Reply:1. get a list of US zoos online.

2. check their websites to see what's available and for how long

3. those not available online, contact by phone

4. make a list of operational hours

5. decide on desired arrival to each

6. go girl, go!

Reply:There is a mural of a tiger on the wall of the Gym in my school. Try there. Its Plainfield North High School in Plainfield Illinois, area code 60585.
Reply:The Zoo in Minneapolis
Reply:The zoo, the circus, Las Vegas, most county or state fairs, Busch Gardens - Disney's Animal Kingdom. Open your yellow pages and start looking. THere is a tiger sanctuary here in Palm Beach County Florida. Now, if you are implying that tigers should be free somewhere here in America, I have to point out that this would not be a good idea. Look at the damage done by mountain lions and they are a fraction of the size of a full grown tiger. whew!!
Reply:You can honestly visit any zoo to find the big cats... one that I like going to is the Cincinnati Zoo, but it isn't in a great place in town... so Seattle's, Columbus', Washington's (state and DC), Indianapolis', etc. Well, the bigger the city, the nicer they usually are.
Reply:I have a tiger in my tank but i am not avalible .Try a zoo ,that is the safest place to see theese type of animals .
Reply:Go to a zoo
Reply:CRAWL OUT FROM UNDER YOUR ROCK AND GO TO A FREAKING ZOO WOMAN!
Reply:GO TO THE COLUMBUS ZOO OR ANY ZOO NEAR YOU
Reply:If you're going to Florida, try Lion Country Safari. It's a drive-thru, cageless zoo. They have lions, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, chimpanzees, and others. The website didn't say anything about tigers, so go to a zoo to see them. I went to Lion Country Safari once when I was little (it used to be in California until 1984), but I don't remember seeing any tigers. There were ostriches, though.
Reply:Columbus Zoo has lots of big cats even a white tiger
