Did the Lions do the right thing by releasing K. Jones, and K. Edwards? Any other teams want them?

I don't think it will matter, until the ownership changes. Not just Millen. Until a new owner that is committed to putting a good product on the field (winning consistently) shows up, the Lions will be marginal, at best.

Gosh, I wish Illitch would buy them. Imagine a Red Wings / Tigers style of front office for the Lions.

Millen is an idiot. We all know that except Ford. The Lions wont improve until Ford dies because he wont sell the team and he doesnt care about football just profits. Lions fans support them no matter how bad the team is so why spend money on building a good team?

This was a rare good move for Millen though.

Jones is injury prone and highly paid. He blew out his knee last year and had a very serious broken foot the year before. Several players have never been the same after that type of foot injury.

Edwards just sucked. Only Millen would have given him that kind of money in the 1st place.
Reply:i can understand realeasing kevin jones cuz every season he gets hurt and wen he does come bca after an injury, he doesnt produce as much. but now tatum bell has a chance to shine in detroit and i think tatum bell is better than kevin jones anyways. plus brian calhoun is an awesome back-up RB. i think the lions will draft a RB or pick one up in the free agent. so i think the lions made a horrible decision bout that but i think they did when they released Edwards. WTF were they thinking
Reply:They should've given Jones a chance in a Martz free system. He was productive when he got 20-25 carries a game, but when they pass every down, no running back's stats will look good.
Reply:Jones will be productive for some other team if he gets the chance. Bad move, Lions (AGAIN??!!!!).
